Socks are FINISHED! And I'll be wearing them tomorrow. Can't wait to show them off.
Also here is the first toe to my first pair of toe-up socks. This is what Zoomom and I have been wroking on. We are doing a short row toe....I like it ok, but it sure it tedious. I think I'll try a different cast on for the toe next time....just to see if I like it any better.

Yeah, Penny!! I've been waiting with baited breath for that second sock. It looks lovely.
Your short row toe looks very nice also. Doesn't it seem like a lot of work however when a regular cuff down toe only requires grafting of a few stitches? I used the Easy Toe from Sensational Knitted Socks for my first toe up and I liked it a lot. It's just done with a provisional cast on and then increasing just as you would decrease for a regular toe. It comes out very nice.
Good luck on the new socks.
Thanks, Beth!
Yes, it sure does seem like a lot more work, but I really like the way the toe looks...we'll see when it is all finished. :) I'd like to try several different toes to seen which I like best.
Come on, Penny. I keep waiting for an update. How's that sock coming along? How about a progress pic?
